Nicholas Gledhill

K-8 Music and Band Director

Hello, my name is Nicholas Gledhill and I am excited to be joining the Holy Family community as the new K-8 music teacher and band director! I have taught music in various settings for almost a decade, working with students of all ages and experience levels.

My teaching style uses a balanced approach of musicianship and music scholarship. I encourage students to find their own passions in music, creating a lifelong appreciation of the fine arts.

I am a Grand Junction native, and actually attended Holy Family for a couple years in my youth. I graduated from Colorado Mesa University and moved away to pursue advanced degrees, but I am so excited to move back and be part of this community!

I hold advanced degrees in Music Performance that also carry heavy backgrounds in pedagogy and music history. Most of my teaching experience is at a college level, though I have substantial experience working with middle school and high school students as a mentor and counselor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. I was also a para-educator in the Tuscaloosa county school system while I pursued my Doctorate. I have graduate coursework in conducting and curriculum design in music education, and am a member of a national music honors fraternity, Phi Kappa Lambda.
