Lindsay Thompson-Marquardt

Language Arts, Middle School

Mrs. Thompson-Marquardt graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2009 from the University of Denver with a bachelor's degree (double major in English and Spanish) and a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She spent one year teaching at Palisade High School and ten years teaching at Grand Junction High School. For nine of those years, she was a teacher and coordinator of the RISE program, a college preparatory program for disadvantaged students. She has also been an AP and Honors teacher for eight years. In addition to her teaching certification, she also has a SIOP certification.

In her spare time over the last three years, she has been advising high school seniors outside of her own classroom in their college applications. Fun fact, all four of the kids who have worked with Mrs. Thompson-Marquardt on their Stanford applications are now students at Stanford. In addition, in 2018-2019, she also spent a year writing English curriculums for others -- an AP Language curriculum she wrote is currently being used by an online school system in California.
