Daisy McEvoy

I’m thrilled to be joining the Holy Family team. Ever since my daughter attended the school, I’ve considered it a wonderful place to work. When the opportunity arose to become a part of this community, I was eager and fully prepared to make the transition.

After graduating from Palisade High School I knew I wanted to work with kids in some way. I decided to get a BS in Parks and Recreation in hopes of incorporating my love of sports and kids. After receiving my BS, I decided that I wanted to teach. So, I returned to Mesa State and received a BA in Elementary Education.  I have been with D51 for 25 years, teaching K-3rd grades. For the past six years, I have taught First Grade, though I’ve had the pleasure of teaching across multiple primary grade levels. I genuinely enjoy working with students at each stage and find it difficult to choose a favorite. However, teaching reading remains the most rewarding part of my day—a passion that led me to earn a Master’s degree in Literacy.

I live in Palisade, with my husband, Adam. Our daughter, Lilly, has just graduated High School and is looking forward to moving into the dorms at CMU this fall. Our son, Noah, is working on his degree while working as an ABA therapist. For fun, I like to be outdoors running, hiking, or just being outside. 4H and show pigs have been a big part of our lives for the last 14 years. We spend much of the summer travelling to Jack-Pots.

I am truly looking forward to joining the Holy Family community and am excited to meet my new colleagues and students.
