Danika Cummings
Hello! My name is Danika Cummings, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be teaching 1st grade at Holy Family Catholic School.
I was born and raised in Grand Junction and attended Holy Family as a student from kindergarten through 8th grade. It is incredibly meaningful to return to a place that played such an important role in my own childhood, now as an educator.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies with a minor in TESOL from Fort Lewis College. Since graduating, I have worked as a special education paraprofessional in District 51 and have also had the privilege of working with children and families in more personal settings. Throughout every role I’ve had, helping children learn, grow, and thrive has always been my greatest passion.
Holy Family has always held a special place in my heart, and I am truly excited to be back as a part of this wonderful community. My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels supported as they grow in their faith, academics, and social-emotional development. I look forward to partnering with our students, families and staff to make this a successful school year!
